Simplicity 2477 view F with a long leg
BurdaStyle Magazine 6/2013 #112 'Marlene' trouser
I've made 2477 3 times with much adjusting. The last time I added a 'flat bottom adjustment' (slash & pivot) to the pattern and used a medium denim with a tiny amt of stretch. Not bad and have worn/washed/worn these and will wear them again. I would like to do it again with the waistband just a tad lower, on the might do this alteration someday list.
Change of style needed, liked #112 and they fit nicely (though they drape down, not shaped at the bum).
I got out both patterns and wow! when I put them over each other (using my 'altered' 2477) the top sections are nearly identical! I matched the grain and crotch area and it was very interesting to see the way they compared.
So, fabric in the washer to test the 'merged' patterns for interest. I made a traced merge based on what I hope to get, but it looks like Burda pant patterns might suit me!! I'm off to browse the selection :)
Or maybe pattern drafting could be very interesting!
