I'm finally learning you have to plan a season ahead for bigger projects. I was inspired by clothingengineers beautiful trench coat for the natural fibers contest. http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/readreview.pl?readreview=1&ID=86454

I may be over my head, so I am seeking a few partners to walk with me to the goal of a beautiful fall /spring trench.

My plan pick and muslin my pattern in July, begin fashion fabric construction in August and have a beautiful coal for fall by September. I want to enjoy the process and allow time for the inevitable fabric tantrums.

Anyone interested?

This could be fun. I may join you. I have a lot of fabric and patterns pulling me in a lot of directions.

I have several trench coat patterns, but would really like to make Peggy Sagers' Trench

I'm in the middle of moving and as soon as I do, school is starting. It will be a while before I can get started, but I'd love to follow along.

I would be up for a trench sew along! I would probably use a slightly more pea-coatish pattern and sew with wool, but if that's OK with everyone....!
