Where is the new file?

I just combined some PDF documents into one document using Acrobat X Pro, but I can't find the new/combined file. What do they name the combined file, and where do they put it? For example, if I have separate PDFs of Chapters 1-5 of a book, and combine them into a PDF that contains all five chapters, where does Acrobat store this new PDF?

I've combined other files in the past, but I don't recall not being able to find the new file before. I looked for this in the Adobe/Acrobat help pages, but I haven't found the answer yet.

Never mind -- problem solved. I decided to save the files again as a new combined PDF file. I guess this woke up my Acrobat X program. It suddenly remembered that it had forgotten a step, lol. The next thing that happened was a file popped up named "Binder1.pdf" (= the combined file). I saved it with a new name. Now I remember that this is what's supposed to happen when you do this. I don't know why this didn't happen before, but now it all comes back to me.

Age is a funny thing, eh? Maybe Acrobat X is getting elderly too (it's two years old or something). They're about to release its sequel. I'm so glad I wasn't declared elderly and replaced with an upgrade at age two.

OK, back to work...
