Babylock. I tried to resist. Truly.

I looked at Berninas, Husqvarnas and Janomes first and it was shocking at how disinterested some of the dealers were in selling me a machine. Couldn't even be bothered to really demonstrate them.

So I went to the local Babylock dealer last and, gosh, the salesperson actually showed me how the sergers worked and let me test drive them. She was really enthusiastic about her product and, so...I'll be getting an Evolution, hopefully next week.

Pretty excited.

i would take that as being guided by a higher force to the machine that you were supposed to have. enjoy.

Love it!! Congrats!!!!

I hear they are great to use - easy to thread, learn and stuff. Mine's still sitting in the box in my sewing room. I've dusted the box a few times and one of these days, I'm going to unbox and plug that puppy in!

Next month I'll have more "time" than I've had since last December so I'm going to take the class and hug a bunch around here that have taught me sew much.

Congratulations! Sounds like you have a very good dealer, too.

We have an odd situation in Washington. As far as I can tell, the whole western half of the state has only one dealer with multiple locations, so if you have a corporate issue with them, you are out of luck. I went to a different location and the salesperson was awful. I'm glad I gave them a second chance and went to a different location.

SO EXCITED!

So happy for you. I hope you have the same experience I'm thrilled to report- not an ounce of trouble ever. Very intuitive and goes from chiffon to polar fleece to shirting to denim. No tension adjustments by me. The machine does it all to achieve perfect results. You're gonna be looking for reasons to use your Evolution. Have fun!

I've had my Evolution for a little over a year and cannot tell you how much I use it! The really wonderful thing is there is simply no hassle and it works perfect every time. I absolutely love this machine!
Congratulations and happy sewing!

Thanks, everyone! I love my Baby Lock sewing machine and I just know I'm going to love the serger just as much.

All my friends who are *serious sewers* own the Imagine and so do I. In fact I just talked my best friend into buying one - she's returning to sewing after many years and the last thing she needs is frustration with threading a serger! Babylock are the best! You got it right!!
