Last day at work is less than 3 weeks away. I feel in my bones it's the right thing, but it's still scary.

Among other things, I'm hoping I will have time to sew again. I don't even know where to start with that, but will probably first tackle the pile of odds and ends on my sewing table (the two unfinished bras I started making a couple of years ago, the mending and refinishing of various garments) and then start pairing stashed fabric with patterns. Maybe I will finally rev up my wardrobe and jettison the polyester pants I've been wearing to work out of inertia because no one sees me in my cubicle.

It's kind of normal to feel lost at first. It's a good kind of lost so be nice to yourself. I took a mental vacation for the first week and then started easing into new routines.

We have never been happier even though there's no money to blow.

Good on You! It is a brave new world and you a gonna love it.
If it is in your bones, then it is the right thing. I am happy for you.
I love my job, but would love to quit, so that I have free time.

Can't complain, though. I need an income and this job is one I like.

But it would be so fun to have time to go out in the yard everyday and just survey the environment and decide where to dig in until it is time for a nap.

Congratulations. Enjoy.

It is kind of scary and it took me more than a few months to get over the feeling that I needed to be doing something.
The very best thing about not working is sleeping in. No alarm clocks.

I completely agree! I only work part time now. On the days I'm not working, waking up whenever I feel like it is pure luxury to me
