I saw a beautiful quilt at doctor's clinic today & the technician that made it said the pattern is called Fractions. This quilt was stunning shiny gold fabric on boarders & as the border for middle blocks. Anyone made it? Like it? Seems fairly straight forward from what she said.
She said she does all her quilting on her basic Janome mechanical. That was nice to hear.... gotta to love those mechanical Janomes...

I don't think you'd need a pattern for that one. It's just one block, rotated.

Oh I like the overall simplicity look to this! Thanks Good, as you mentioned it looks like one block rotated with sashing. Wow this could be done in so many colors and still not look the same!

Thanks for the quilt ideas :-) now who has the time to make it??

Yes I have made it and it is super easy! We sold lots of that pattern when I worked the quilt shop. The designer is Kari Nichols from Mountainpeek Creations out of CO. If you have any problems with the pattern they will help you out. Her patterns have multiple sizes too. They usually run $8. GREAT patterns!

If you are into instant gratification you can order directly from the designer at Mountain Peek Creations and receive the patterns via email PDF. I just bought two patterns And yes, you could do this without a pattern, but someone else has already done the math and spent time on the design and marketing, so it's worth it to me to purchase and support them. - ps i am not affiliated with this designer, only learned of them this am through this thread

Thank you. I found it. I am not in a big rush company here the next couple of weeks so I won't be sewing it right away....I hope you like the way yours turns out...
