I have been wanting to make and orange and green quilt for a year.

All of the fabrics have been set aside for a year.

I decided to make it happen. Im piecing with my new 15-91. After enjoying the super sonic Grand Quilter speed for a year Im happy it is no longer my only machine. The 15-91 is so quiet. It even is making me want to obsess about points and lines - things Ive never cared about before.

The thing is taking me a long time to make. It goes together pretty slow. Even cutting the parts took a long time.

The quilt is made up of two blocks -

I think I like it - I have an idea for the border that is a little different than the pattern. We will see.

Oh Portland, how long is a long time for you. You really sew these great quilts very fast, it seems to me!!!
This is an interesting combination - great colors - vibrant!
Glad to hear you are enjoying your new 15-91!

The new machine is a joy to sew with. Chain piecing makes far more sense on a machine with no thread snips. Last night, George and I sat on the stoop to cut the bits apart. It is nice to have reason to get up and move around while sewing.

Orange and green is one of my favorite combinations, and there are rooms in my house based on those colors. So I love this one.
