I'll ask DH to take a few pictures when if he comes home for lunch.

I'm a 36E bra size and usually have to do an FBA. I'll be honest - I don't like darts in t shirts.

I've tried other Jalies choosing a small size to fit my neck and shoulders then attempting an FBA. They looked terrible.

I read somewhere to just pick your Jalie size by your full bust size. I also decided to just trace, cut and sew that size without overthinking (in other words, not even altering for my larger hips. i don't do it with RTW so I reasoned it was worth a try and would give me a better baseline.)

I was shocked to see that it fits like a high end RTW t shirt. Like RTW, the fit isn't perfect.

The shoulder seam hangs at least an inch off my shoulders. There are a few horizontal wrinkles pulling over the bust. The front and back lengths are the same (I can't believe that - I'm wearing the muslin and want to see if that will change over the next hour or two.)

I think my next step will be to try Debbie Cook's Cheater FBA. I'm wondering if I should narrow the shoulders at the same time?

Maybe attacking one thing at a time is the way to go.

Thoughts?

If your length is the same front and back, the "cheater" method might work. If the front hikes up, you will have to add to the length. I would go ahead and adjust the shoulders at this time too. In this case, one adjustment doesn't really affect the other.
