Can anyone recommend a short sleeve men's buttoned down shirt that you don't tuck in for a guy with a big belly?

I picked up a couple of copies of McCall's 6044 when they were on sale for 99 cents for shirts for my husband. I haven't tried it yet. My husband rarely tucks in his button up shirts

I have used both Simplicity 5581 and McCalls 2149 for my husband. He is all belly in the front. I just added about 3" of length in the center and tapered it out to the sides (sort of like you'd do to modify clothes for maternity wear) and they fit and cover well.

I really like the Islander shirt:

Somewhere on PR there's info about doing a full belly adjustment on a mans shirt.
It's not that different from maternity alteration.

Seconding McCall's 2149. I've made several for my brother, who has a big belly. I'll try to remember to check tonight whether or not I altered the pattern for a full belly.

Remember, you do not have to use the hem or hem shape that comes on a pattern. If it is curved, like a dress shirt, you own that pattern and can change it to a straight hem. I do stuff like that all the time, to jackets and tops.
