Going to test drive the MC 12000 next week. Particularly interested in the AcuFil Quilting to finish my quilts. Anyone have experience with this? Price quoted is $8995 and offering some perks with Christmas in July. Also willing to take my Brother Innov-is 5000 Isodore in on trade giving me what I paid. I think I could be satisfied with the MC 11000SE but will not take trade for it. Comments re these machines and prices would be appreciated. I never thought I would consider paying this much for a machine, but... Also read comment here that a new Janome TOL is coming out in August. Would it be better for me to wait in case the price of this machine will go down? Decisions, decisions but first test drive to confirm I'm interested.

If I'm not mistaken the Acufil is an add on doesn't come with the machine like it did on the 11000se. I remember people complaining about it. Also no 5 x7 hoop. If you are putting that much money into a machine I would check out the Pfaff Creative Sensation more machine for your money. I would go to the Janome forum and read so of the comments on this machine. A lot of people who traded in their 11000se's regretted it. I have the Janome 10001 which I think is a great machine. If I had to decided between the 12000 and the 11000se I would pick the 111000se. But would honesty rather have a Pfaff Creative Performance you might want to look at that one as well.

I have the 11K and the 12K. I have loved both of them. They both sew very well, and the embroidery is excellent on either. I upgraded to the 12K mainly for the extra sewing features. You can read my review to see the specifics. The larger hoops don't really bother me; I'm a go big or go home kind of girl when it comes to embroidery.

I'm not sure the price will drop much on these machines, even after the new one comes out. I don't think they made as many as they did of the 11K, in part due to the high price point. I've heard the new one will cost more than the 12K, though. The acufil hoop was additional with either model. If anything I would see if they'd include that or offer it at great discount.

Hello,I have the Janome 11000 SE and love it. It is a hardy machine in every aspect I to am looking to upgrade and was looking at the 12000 but have heard some ppl are not happy with the machine. I am looking at a baby lock ellisimo for bigger hoop and easy placement. I have played with the acu fil hoop but looks like a lot of hooping, to much for me. I would get someone to sit down with you and actually do it on a quilt you have, to see if its to much work to you, dont let them just go through the motions of showing you. Go spend a day with one. They just showed us without actually doing it, and we thought it was what we wanted. To say all that, I don't use the acu fill but truly love this machine. They are around 5 thousand all day everyday. I will keep this machine even if I upgrade to the ellisimo.
