I have a multicolored plaid/check pima cotton which I am planning on using for a casual top, before preshrinking I was wondering if I could use Retayne to set the different colors in the fabric, or can Retayne only be used on solid color fabrics?
I'm not familiar with Retayne, but if it sets colors, it should probably work as well on prints as it does on solids. One thing you can do is conduct an experiment beforehand. Simply cut a swatch of fabric, treat it with Retayne, wash it the same way you plan to when you preshrink it, and see what you think. Hope this helps.
