I am having problems working out how to fit this top. many have reviewed but it seems that most people don't have this problem. I want to lengthen the top between bust point and shoulder in order to drop the bust point which is too high. I am not sure how to do it and would appreciate help please.click here'/> This is a photo of the top showing the problem - the seam which should go under bust goes across bust and leaves twist very prominent and high. I'd really welcome advice on how to achieve a better fit thank you

I can't get to your link.

Are you tall or do you have a long torso? Is that the reason for needing more length?

IF it is not I find a lot of women need FBA's or a better bra when looking add length in this kind of top. I know for me anything that has a empire style of waist needs a FBA or the line will cut across the bust.

Yes, I am tall - 5'11". 36D bust. Not sure why link doesn't work. I'm pretty new to reviewing etc. I reviewed this pattern and my picture is there. I'd appreciate your input. Thanks

There are instructions available for posting pictures and inserting links under the pinned topics.
If you are a 36D you would need an fba which will lower the bust point, but maybe not enough for you. You can slice across above the bust adding in what you need front and back. If there are sleeves you will have to make the same adjustment to the sleeve cap. If this lowers the underarm too much you can add back what you need and blend it into the armscye.

I found it under your review, never thought of looking there.

I asked because my Mom is also tall, about the same height as you and sometimes she needs tops to be made longer but she always needs a FBA. My family carries most of our height in our legs so sometimes she can get away with just the FBA but if you are like my 3yo and have a long torso you may need to lengthen most of your tops.

As PP suggested you also need one. See those horizontal wrinkles under your arm going from the side seam towards your bust? Those pulls are because the fabric is straining from not enough boob room. A FBA may solve all the problems including having the lines fall where they should.

It is a cute top and suits your figure, even with the smalls problems it looks good on you.
