I bought a Wards signature UHT J277C sewing machine and can not find any information about it. Can someone point me in the right direction or pass some information on to me. I love the machine it sews great.

Maybe you could even find it in some old Wards Christmas catalog?

I believe that the Signature line was made by the Happy Sewing Machine Co. They are still in business and as far as I can tell, they make only commercial machines. MW was one of the few home machines that they made. I do know that the ones that passed through my hands were real workhorses.

Wards used "Signature" on most of their things that were sold, much like "Kenmore" at Sears. There were many Signature sewing machines. I think I had one in the early 60s...They were Japanese machines for the most part, and may or may not be sturdy workhorses still. Can you post a picture? I would love to see it! I am so glad it sews well for you. :)

Thank you all. So far the few things that I have sewn have been heavier fabric and the maching is great. I will post a picture soon.
