I was told that I should use black batting in my current quilt. It will have a black backing and the top is gray and black.

My favorite batting is quilters dream cotton, but they only have the midnight (black) dream in poly.

So, anybody ever tried that specific batting? Good? Bad?

it doesn't matter what type of sewing you do. you are sewing, and sewing is good.

Hi Lellie, well it does sound cool to have black batting too, I've never used that brand!

Warm and Natural, and the cheap Walmart poly for fluffy stuff -- Do they think because of the quilts colors and backing the white or natural color would show through? hmmm idk

Hope someone has used it and comes to post tomorrow - Good luck, I'd love to read how you like it as well

I haven't used Quilter's Dream Cotton or the black one, but I have used their Puff and Green battings, and they are WONDERFUL. Their poly battings are soooo much better than the bagged stuff from big box stores. The quality is not even comparable.

I wouldn't hesitate to use the black from them.

Yes, I have been told to use the black batting because of bits of white/natural coming through the black backing. :)

This poly isn't supposed to be fluffy. It is a low to mid-loft. I am anticipating that it will be close-ish to the warm n natural or the quilters dream cotton.
