Hello,
I spoke with a local dealer last April who told me that there is a new Juki serger coming out, under $1000, with the air threading feature like the baby locks have. She said something about the patent expiring on the babylocks? I have called several times and she tells me there is a delay in getting them shipped. Does anyone have information about this new product. I can't find anything online. Thank you

I was at the Raleigh sewing expo last month talking to the Juki rep and I was told the same thing regarding the patent expiring and juki coming out with their version. She didn't say when it was going to be released though. Seems like I also saw something about Bernina and air threading coming out sometime in the new year. Verrrrrry interesting.

Thank you - I called the dealer again today and she said they are on their way and she would call me.. I'll try it first, but will most likely get it and am holding out to buy a serger until it shows up. I'll let you know, if anyone gets any more info, please post it. Thanks.

I found it on this website:

It does not show the air threading.

That looks like a nice serger, I can't wait to hear from someone who tries it out. I don't have a Juki dealer close by or I would check it out myself.

Yes it does. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Perhaps this will force Babylock to bring their price down as well! Here's hoping!

Bernina is reporting they will have one. Since I have a stellar dealer with great service and very good pricing from them I might go that route if I want one.

How cool. I would like a less expensive serger than the BL Imagine but I fear it will be the reverse- comparable pricing.
