I'm working on a winter coat for my 2yo baby.
She 's a tiny girl with a pot belly!
She was size 2 over all, but 4 at her waist.
I cut size 3 muslin (sewable paper) and it seemed to fit her, except her belly seems a little tight...
Should I grade to size 4around the waist?
(Size 3 chest - 4 waist - back to 3 at hip)

I've never made a coat before so this is already a challenge, and didn't want to add too much alteration but what's the point of making something that's uncomfortable, right?

You'd have to do the same thing if she were older and had this problem, so why not?Not only is it an alteration, but it also will probably fit better.

Thank you Miss Fairchild!
It turned out I forgot to attach a placket for this pattern.
With it, it seem to be a little more bigger and fits better.
But I also found this blog on Oliver+S site, which was the solution I was looking for!
