Where can I find a good sweatshirt fabric? My husband would prefer a heavy fabric for when he has to clear snow off the sidewalks at work (which is sometimes an all day task) he likes to layer it with his overalls and uses the hood over his hat.
He is a 3x tall so I will need lengthen it and he also wants me to put the front of view D in one piece instead of a zipper so would like to get at least 3 yards per sweatshirt.

I was just looking at fleece at Near Sea Naturals. I ordered some of the heavy flannel and it arrived today. It's really wonderful. I think many of their fabrics are wove and knit in the US, which is a plus.

Since there doesn't seem to be many sources what about another kind of fabric that would work instead of sweatshirt fabric?

I wear a heavier weight coat in - 40 c, comfortably. Fleece is warmer that ss material but will not absorb moisture from perspiration like cotton or cotton poly like ss material will.
