OK Viking makes a circular attachment. They have a you tube video on how to use it. It is cool looking but $80 or so. My question has anyone used this on a singer? If so what model? Thank you.

The Viking/PFAFF one actually snaps onto the needle plate, so I would think that it wouldn't work with other manufacturers unless they had holes in exactly the same places. It doesn't even work with all PFAFF/Vikings.

it doesn't matter what type of sewing you do. you are sewing, and sewing is good.

I saw a blog on how to make a simple ruler and tack to make circles. Now the main thing would be to find the Viking templates or create them for the petal designs.

Any machine, in theory, could use the circular attachment. The trick, as the bunny pointed out, is attaching it to the machine. You could try using the blu-tac stuff.

Most of all, I heart Woo (HimmyCat). Until we meet again, my beautiful little boy. I love you.

I didn't think of the blue stuff but i did think about duct tape. I tae my power cords down with it and not only does it hold but it comes off pretty easy.

This is the Husqvarna needle plate-- albeit the straight stitch version, which wouldn't be useful for embroidery. But the holes are still there.

My guess is that your singer does not have a similar set of holes. Here's the 9960 needle plate, for instance.

Thank you for the pictures for comparison. It is a pricy tool. I think I may work on the version I saw using a thumbtack to play with.

I have one for a singer from the 60s, and they are not that pricey. Matter of fact, I should find mine and offer it for sale since I have a couple of them lying around.
