Are these the new autumn simplicity patterns. I've seen them at Walmart but not sure if they are new or not. I like the steampunk pattern and the tunic pattern, but nothing else tempts me.

I noticed them yesterday, while doing a pattern search so I guess they are new because I am ALWAYS looking up something on the BMVBK (LOL, made every brand fit in there!) sites and I hadn't noticed them since this week-end.

Not much to choose from for me, with all the costumes and pyjamas, but still, my selection:

S1539 knit tops:

S1556 organizer:

I have been threating my Black Lab with something like S1578 for a long time now and Simplicity has come through with the pattern, bwahahahahah:

and, finally, thinking of spelling out my nephews names in smaller scale pillows using S1579:

Not my area of sewing but those sewing for the American Girls might have a request for matching Disney princess outfits for Halloween, I think, with S1581

Has anyone noticed the Craft section. The envelop presentation seems new but are the patterns reissues?

Why so much sleepwear?? Is that typical of their fall release?

Meh. Nothing at all...

That organizer is awesome (I could see it being really handy for my knitting projects) but I'll probably never make it. :)

I LOOOOOOOOOVE the "steampunk" skirt with the clips. I saw a similar skirt RTW a few months back, but didn't get it. I'm pretty excited there's a pattern to make my own version. I think ribbons instead of clips could be very pretty, but I love the clips too.

I like the organizer- might make a good xmas present.

Hmmm. 1560 is a re-issue of 5914, which I bought in 2004 (not sure when it was issued). Same pictures and everything.

The stuffed letter pillows are great, although those might also be a re-issue (might be slightly different than the old version, 4928).

I don't have anything against re-issues, but why change the pattern number?

I love the curved panels on 1541.

The letter pillows are possibly a multiple-times reissue, since we had that pattern when I was a kid in the 70's.

And yes, it seemed like there were a lot of pajama patterns this time.

I remember sewing one of those letter patterns when I was in high school in the early 90's. I think I still have the pattern somewhere.

What I was wondering was, why two nice new nightgown patterns for girls (which is great) but no new nightgown patterns for women?

Wait -- there is one nightgown pattern for women --- HERE. It's not bad -- quite plain, which is fine. The girls' nightgowns are nicer... but oh, OK.

But I don't know why they keep putting out new versions of the same basic sweats/t-shirts/pj pants pattern... unisex, no less.

1539 was probably inspired by this RTW top I have had pinned for quite a few months:

I like the other options they added to the envelope; this will be making it to the wishlist!
