Hi everyone,
So, I've narrowed down the search to the BL ellisimo and the bother quattro. First question...is there any difference in pricing between the two? I've heard some ladies mention that babylock is more expensive since you are paying for the "name recognition". Also, I'm trying to figure out if $5400(out the door) is a good price...average...etc for the babylock.

Thanks for the help....I'm so confused and it seems the dealers in my area are very regulated by their rep so they are all offering identical pricing on the babylock...is this strange?

Thanks for the help....I'm losing sleep over all this crazy stuff....yikes!

You got a much better price quote than I got two days ago. I was quoted $8200 for a new Quattro 2. Have not checked for a quote on the Ellisimo Gold. Would love to know where you got your quote.

If you're getting a quote of $5400 for a brand new Ellisimo Gold, then you should run and pick it up now. I haven't heard a price that low on one before. Just make sure you find the dealer you're most comfortable with since that can make all the difference in the world.

I took your advice and went and bought the machine today....no interest financing, 9 free classes plus 50% off all additional classes forever....She let me pick out a ton of Madeira thread and packs of needles. I'm so excited and think I made the right decision. The two other dealers wanted to charge me way more than that....and I would have had to drive about 70miles round trip per visit to those stores. This dealer only sells babylock and I was really impressed by her expertise and her low-key sales approach. She actually suggested getting a couples accessories I want elsewhere since they are cheaper.....that sealed the deal. If anyone has any questions send me a private message.
I'm so excited....but have to wait for two weeks to get back from vacation to play with my new baby girl:)

You're going to love the machine and that is one spectacular deal! Especially since the no interest financing costs the dealer. A Babylock only dealer is also pretty cool since you know that is what they specialize in, they'll be able to assist you with your machine just fine. She sounds like an honest dealer....any dealer that suggests where else to get a product for cheaper means they have your best interest at heart.

Let us know how you like your machine once you get to play with it!

Thanks Jim!!! I am really excited to get my new machine....and I really feel like this was the right machine and definitely the right dealer. She has a beautiful shop....not stuffy at all! There are tons of machines to play with and I was impressed that she had a display of assorted projects...for embroidery, quilting and sewing beside each machine in the shop.
I've gone into a couple shops and felt like if I didn't have my hair perfectly done then I wasn't a "good" customer for them. This dealer made me comfy coming in after work in my scrubs or shorts and a tee, very welcoming!
I also liked that she mentioned the weight of the machine and that she would make sure I had one of hers to use for classes in case I couldn't bring my big girl with me for some reason.
So, my next endeavor is to decide which extra feet I "need".....Any suggestions?
Hugs to you all!

Hi Sandi,
I was told by another member...that I can't post the dealers info here.....not sure of that's true but I'm happy to share in a message. They are in San Diego though:) I just saw her today and my machine is ready and waiting for me. There are two other ellisimos that are waiting for other customers too....I'm assuming they got a great deal as well. I'm happy to respond via message but I dont want to get scolded again....lol
