To cut a long story short, it took me multiple attempts to load an avatar, and now that I want to change it, nothing happens despite multiple x 10 attempts.

I have told it to dump current avatar, saved, typed password, logged in again...(with retyped email address and password)

I have given it another avatar, saved, typed password, logged in again.......(with retyped email address and password)

I have repeated these operations over and over again.

I seem to spend more time typing my email address and password to try to change my avatar, than I spend asleep in bed!

Life's too short for all this!

The same thing happened to me, and I can't remember exactly how it got solved, but I think logging completely off the site did the trick.

ok, yes, I just changed mine. I didn't intend to do it this way, but I ended up deleting the avatar I had, saved that, then logging back in, then added a new one, saved it and logged back in, and that did it.

Handshake, what happens is that the avatar does get changed but you have to refresh your browser's cache to see the most recent version. To do that, hold down the shift key and hit refresh. It will show you the most current version. hope this helps.

I have tried that at least ten times but will try again.

Going to delete avatar now, save, log out.

I've also cleared the browser's cache.

I didn't need to clear the browser's cache, but I did have to rub my tummy and pat my head. Or something similar.

ok, here's what I did. this worked for me, using firefox

1. click on "edit profile"
2. enter password at top of screen (duplicate field, under user name and encrypted password)
3. Click button for "remove old photo"
4. Browse to new photo and select
5. click "save changes"
6. logout (button top right)
7. login (which took me right back to "Edit profile"

at this point the old photo is gone, but (in spite of step 4) the new photo is not there, so I repeated all the steps except number 1 (because the site already took me right back to "edit profile") and except number 3 (because the photo is gone and step 3 isn't necessary). This sequence worked....
