Subject: Question about Singer 9970. Please ignore. Misplaced. Date: 8/10/13 1:31 PM

I may have missed it in the book, has anyone figured out how to get the machine to finish a stitch and then stop when doing a row? I hate ending on half a flower or something? Debbie

Perhaps one of your machines has a "pattern end" button?

Drat! I thought I was adding this to the 9970 thread. Well I don't see a way to obviously end the pattern, no button or anything. I will have to keep reading.

Thank you for your help.

9970 manual

page 13.

Quote:

L. TACK BUTTON
UTILITY STITCH SEWING
By pressing this button, you can sew a back tack stitch at the beginning and at the end of a stitch. (SEE PAGE 19)
DECORATIVE & LETTER STITCH SEWING
If this button is pressed at the end of a decorative stitch pattern, machine will stop automatically at the end of the stitch pattern and tie off the stitch with a locking stitch.

Thank you so much Andye! I read to fast, obviously. I knew the tack button would tack the end of stitches, but missed the part where it will complete a decorate stitch.
