I've just seen a class on Pants making/fitting being offered on Craftsy , taught by Kathy Ruddy. I took a look at the intro and this lady seems very personable and easy to understand(two of my biggest requirements in a teacher). Has anyone taken this class? Any input?

I haven't signed up for this class, but I too received the notification about her class. I took one of her classes at an ASG Conference back in the late '90's and remember that she was very funny and engaging. I think it was called Serger 911. She kept the class interesting and had lots of tips to share. I'm going to add that class to my Wish List.

Thanks Judy. I'm going to wait for the price to come down a bit more and then sign up for it.

I just finished all the lessons. I like this class, but then I like Kathy and enjoy her teaching style. She isn't a by the rules kind of sewer, which I really like. Don't get me wrong, she does a good job and gets good results but she tells you where you can bend the rules and still have a good outcome.
The premise of the class is to create a pant block and then use it to sew any type of pant you want.

I attended a lecture she gave many years ago at an expo and one thing she stressed was to always have control of the fabric. It is the one thing that really stayed with me all these many years.
