I never saw this episode about the sewing machine. It was a nice way to start my day, thanks!

I really like videos about sewing machines and posted some links to advertising videos about sewing. You might enjoy these, too.

That was fun! . I'm always intrigued with the mechanics of the sewing machine so I found it very interesting

I loved seeing the rows and rows of vintage machines and the videos. Thanks for sharing.

A few months ago, I posted a notice of a broadcast about JUKI machines. It was not available for re-viewing, at the time.

It is now available for viewing online. Hope the link works. I apologize in advance if it doesn't. I'm not too savvy. Sorry. The program is about 30 minutes.

Particularly interesting are the demos of various industrial machines dedicated for a specific task: a machine that sews curves where the top piece has a different curve from the bottom piece and sews a consistent seam allowance (so that's how RTW does it), a machine to sew buttons only, a machine to sew buttons and turn it over to sew the shank (for heavy coats), a machine to crease denim pockets then sew on to jeans. Fascinating.

The clip of the "sewing club" of the JUKI employees shows a JUKI home embroidery machine. JUKI makes home embroidery machines?

I learn so much from you all even if I don't chime in. You all are inspiring, helpful and encouraging. Thanks, everybody.

Here's a place I just visited last week. One of the very few remaining shoe or boot factories in the US. Fascinating, I think.
Red Wing Boot sewing

And a pattern sewing machine I took a couple videos of at work several years ago, when we were making military cargo parachutes: Pattern Stitcher 1

Pattern Stitcher 2

In the vein of sewing machine videos.
