I am having a hard time finding patterns for my 12 yo daughter.

A the moment I am looking for a pattern like Butterick 4967, but in her size. This pattern only goes to an 8. I have a sheer floral print fabric that she would like me to make into a layered dress for the first day of school. That is fast approaching and my (lack of) drafting skills are not up to the challenge.

She wears a girls size 16 or a 1/2 in Juniors.

Have you looked at the casual dresses from Jalie? Sizes from little girls to adult woman. Some of the Project Runway patterns from Simplicity might work as well.

or if you don't mind downloads, Sis Boom and Mod kIDS have some nice things for tweens and teens. (and adults)

You can also get Sis Boom here from PR.

It's really the layered thing I am after. This Burda pattern is close but she isn't allowed to have thin straps like that for school.Burda pattern

So I need a different bodice. hmmm, will keep looking...... I really wanted this to be easy, ie. I don't want to draft it. Thank you all for your suggestions!

My answer to All Things Patterns: lekala.co For a couple of dollars you can download a pattern customized to your daughter's measurements. Service can be delayed over a weekend, so you might not get your pattern until Monday. Could you work with this one? Lekala 7102 Edit: Or Lekala 7087

Do the Lekala pants patterns come out well for plus sized children? I always have difficulty adjusting the crotch and thigh areas in regular patterns which often need scooping out in addition to adding inches.
I have gotten a great fit with the Plus Size Patterns (http://plussizechildren.com/) which go up to size 16.
I am also going to start a layette for our soon to be great nephew. Of course I dont have baby measurements for the Lekala pattern. It looks like a promising site though. I think I will sign up and try out on of their free ones to begin with.
