I don't like armhole princess seam jackets on me. I have one shoulder princess seam jacket that I have done so many alterations to that it is about shot. I would love to find another shoulder princess seam jacket pattern but all I can find is the armhole style. I really don't want to go to the trouble to convert an armhole to a shoulder. Any suggestions?

There are quite a few out there but I made My New Look 6609Webpage using a duponi silk
I used view B and lengthened it and I plan on using the shell and add other collar variations. It does only have a one piece sleeve.
Other patterns that I have in my stash NL6188
NL6099

The other thing to do is cut out your current pattern using new paper or tracing vilene

What about http://www.simplicity.com/p-4465-misses-jackets.aspx#t-2 which is Simplicity 2446. It is a traditional blazer in hip length and traditional length options, part of the Amazing Fit series and has been reviewed.

Other Simplicity options are 2284 and 2341.

Apologies but I am using IE7 and having difficulty getting links to post. My powers of concentration have been suffering lately and it just takes me sheer force of will to focus at times.

I do have S2341 and was considering it. I can't believe no one has made it though. I really was wanting to read some reviews on it. I do think I may bite the bullet and do a muslin of it. Thanks for all the suggestions!

I'm getting ready to cut out Simplicity 2229. I think I might even be able to get away without doing an FBA. That's a first for me. Will do 1/2 seams just to be on the safe side.

How did I miss that one? 2229 is quite nice & the line drawing for the pants is promising ~ Still shilly-shallying around with pants due to a weight loss AFTER taking Kenneth King's pants moulage class...ARGH!!!!

Happy muslin-ing.

A little late but what about V8714

It's an A,B, C cups patterns so no alteration required for the buts. And you can always extend the seams to the hem.
