I've used Indygo Junctions Retro Raglan pattern as a long jacket, short jacket, tunic and t length shirt. A lot depends on your fabric.
The Scout Tee modifies well into a tank top, long sleeved tunic and I am thinking of doing it with 3/4 sleeves as a maxi type dress. If you are wanting something to go from fitted garment to over garment, don't forget to add in ease. I would think it could be quite fun to take a current trench coat pattern and make it into an interesting dress. Of course you would have to remove ease....
Good luck!

I have a pattern in waiting that I purchased to make a blouse/jacket. I was thinking kind of a safari look with View B. Haven't made it yet, so don't know if this will be helpful, but I think it will work for either a top or lightweight jacket to wear over a tee or tank. I plan to add in ease to accommodate the tee underneath.
