Hi! I have been working on a Tailor Professional 834 sewing machine lately. I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of bobbins it uses. I know it looks extremely similar to the Singer Stylist 834 and I looked up that the Singer Stylist 834 uses transparent bobbins #172336. I bought some transparent class 66 bobbins ( (which is what I get when I google transparent bobbin #172336) but they are smaller than what came with the machine. The manual does not specify what kind of bobbin it uses, it just says that it uses transparent bobbins. Any ideas?
Thanks!

It is actually the same machine as the Singer 834. It was made in Poland and also sold as a Pfaff for a while. The 66 class bobbin will be fine and part # 172336 is right.

Thanks so much! It is kind of a mystery machine!

I don't think too much mystery. A bunch of guys got a bunch of them, then started running a scam, where they stuck that name and label on on them, and apparently went out and advertised they were some kind of left over "School Machines" and started selling them out of just Hotels or Hotel rooms all over the place. So I think that probably is the mystery part.

Yes, I know about the scam part as it is one of the few things that is mentioned when you do a Google search on it. But there is a general lack of info on it on the interwebs and in the real world. My local fabric shop had never seen one.
I wonder, for instance, why Singer would allow this. Even the manual on most pages is exactly the same! Down to the suggested projects. Is there a current example of this I wonder. Was Singer not aware of these machines or did they not care?
