What Bernina machines use the feet from my now very very dead Bernina 180 ? (New Style feet) I am mostly interested in sewing and using my walking foot and ruffler for instance. Embroidery is not a priority , however I did enjoy the multidirectional 9 mm stitch I had with my 180. Since I do own a Janome 6600P, the Bernina replacement will be used mostly as a second/backup machine.

Any ideas ?

Most any Bernina machine sold today and in the last twenty years:

Activa, Virtuosa, Aurora, Artista, 3 series, 5 series, 7 series, 8 series.

The 1008 is the lone exception, aside from the Bernettes.

The Ruffler can be used by even earlier machines, provided the appropriate adaptor is used. The walking foot can't.

However, the lower cost machines are all 5.5mm, and only some top of the line machines have ever supported the multidirectional foot.

The new style feet come in two varieties, one with black numbers and one with the red. I only have a 1008, which takes the black numbered feet. I assume the models that andye listed all take the red colored numbers. I learned about the differences the hard way when I ordered a lot of "old style" feet off of Ebay that were meant for the vintage machines like the 830 and 930.

Some of the feet I use with my B330. Note the red labels.

Thanks for the info. Now, to take it all one step further, what machines will work for the feet that I own AND use the existing bobbins. (Rectangular shaped holes, NOT round holes).

This British bernina dealer says that the same bobbin is used by the "1630,180,185,450,640,200 & 730"

The 580 might use the same bobbin as well...

The 450 is cheapest, but it can't use foot 40c. A used artista 200/730 can, but it's still expensive--which may be a factor, judging from your reluctance to give up your bobbin hoard.

And all of these machines are 9mm, so you'll be able to exploit the full width of your feet.
