Wow, these are all gorgeous!

The peacock print fabric on this dress is amazing.

Already? Time flies when you subscribe to Burda.

All that hippie stuff, it's lovely but I've been there and definitely do not need a do-over. They stole this from my 70's album. DIY skirt, how to recycle those groovy sheets and bedspreads.

Burda had an envelope pattern almost exactly like that about five years ago, 7946. I have the pattern but haven't made it yet. If you don't do it with hippie-type fabrics, it just makes a nice swirly skirt. Well, I would shorten it. Someone on PR made it and it got a lot of positive feedback.

I had noticed this knit dress with raglan sleeve and waist draping in the preview and I am eager for the line drawings. Wandering if the waist detail is pleated or a separate piece added.

Actually, looking at the pastel version informs me that it is a mock raglan and very possibly a pleated waist detail.

So far, that's it. Maybe the flower print pants if they are flat-front (why do I obsess over pants patterns when I rarely make any IRL???) and the bohemian swirl skirt?

I just want the peacock fabric...
and maybe that origami pleat raglan dress. It'd look good on DD.

Oh, thanks for that! I don't love a lot, but maybe just enough to justify buying the issue. The darling dress for the girls at the end is calling my name (for my little girl, of course). I have plans to make a dress like that for me and would love to make her a mini-me version...she still enjoys dressing like momma.

Hmm...if I happen to be at G Street when they have that issue on the rack, maybe it will end up in my basket. Hmm...

I like the faux-raglan dress, although I hope that it wouldn't be too difficult to ditch the draping - my hips don't need that kind of emphasis ... :)

I like LOADS of things in this issue -- it's the first for a couple of months where I've seen several things that I like straight away. However, I have to say that that is the most boring and/or ugly Plus size section I've seen in a while. I think that asymmetric black and white jacket is really unflattering, in particular.

One woman. One sewing machine. One giant stack of fabric. What could possibly go wrong?

Alfatex in Germany is the fabric company Burda uses for their magazine shoots. Once, this issue comes out, they will pair the fabric with the Burda mag pic.
