I have an embroidery machine, it only does 4x4, but I would love to make something for my son's wedding in November. Does anyone have any cool ideas? I haven't made anything yet with the embroidery piece. I was thinking maybe napkins for the rehearsal dinner? Any other ideas? any cool embroidery you know of for weddings?

I made 150 wine glass coasters for my son's wedding. Each had a celtic design and date of wedding. They were a big hit but it was quite an undertaking.

Penant type banners seem popular these days. Using one letter on each "flag" to say their names or congratulations. My niece did some with stamps for her wedding. Could be fun on the head table.

A small satin patch with the bride's monogram or couple's name with the wedding date to sew inside the wedding dress lining. It can be "something blue" if you use blue thread.

If the wedding is having bows at the end of the pews I once saw where one tail of the ribbon was monogrammed, it was such a nice little detail. Or monogram something on the backs of the bride and groom's chair or special placemats for the two of them with a monogram on one corner and the date on the other. Whatever you do will add such a special touch.

I didn't do this for the actual wedding ceremony, but here are some pillow cases I sewed up and embroidered as a wedding gift for a wedding I attended a few days ago.

And then with the leftover fabric and some accent fabric (orange was an accent color in the wedding), I made a little lined bag and rolled the pillow cases up and put them inside for presentation:
