Has anyone else had problems with the USB connection? I've only had my machine for about five months. Early on...a month or so after I got it...I could not access the design through the Pfaff USB stick. I could not get my computer to recognize it either so I figured it was faulty and used another USB stick that I had on hand. That worked for a while but now I am have the problem that the machine won't even recognize that there is a USB stick in the machine. I am so bummed. I am trying to get several shirts and christmas projects done and I can't transfer my design from my computer to the machine. I have tried other USB sticks and it won't recognize any of them. I thought of hooking directly to the computer but I doubt that will work as it seems to be a problem with the USB connector in the machine. And here I am without a dealer within 2 hours from me! Any thoughts?

Try the other cable to your machine.
Do you have soft ware for it like 4or 5d embroidery.
Try that.
If you still can't figure it out online there
Is a phone no.you can call at pfaff USA.
Or call your local pfaff dealer maybe they
Can help without you doing a 2 hr trip.

I have heard some machines don't like certain brands of USB, but so far my Brother isn't picky.

My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.

Isn't this machine embroidery instead of sewing?

Maybe the moderator could move it if it is.

Don't know if this has anything to do with it or not, but I want to share what my dealer shared with me today......
I have not done any embroidery yet, so I was getting a lesson and the dealer told me NOT to use a USB with higher than a 1GB memory in the machine......she has heard you can use up to 2GB, but that did not come from Pfaff.....she said stick with the 1 because if the jump drive is too big it can mess up the main board of your machine........something about too much memory and it "blows the machines mind".........
I also just had to have my complete tension mechanism replaced in my PCP and it has less than 22 hrs of sewing time on it!!! I would highly recommend calling your dealer......don't let your warranty run out!!!!!!
Please let us know what resolves your problems.
