I saw this fabric at a quilt shop and was immediately drawn to it. It looked like a fine wool but was a cotten flannel. She had a beautiful quilt made up with it but thought I might get some to make a casual cover up of some sort. Are any of you familiar with it. It was 12.50 a yard.

I just looked it up online. It looks fantastic! I just love flannel and plaids. Let us know if you try it and how you like it.

I have seen it online but not in person. It looks luscious!

I no longer have selvages to verify, but several of the patterns look identical to fabric that I've used to make PJs and a flannel shirt for my husband. The price is about right, too. The fabric is the nicest flannel I've ever found, and it has held up extremely well after many laundry cycles--no pilling and it looks as good as I remember it off the bolt. I think if you use it for a cover-up it will be nice and cosy and it will look good for a long time.

Bought enough of this on sale several years ago to make a Turning Twenty quilt. It is the best flannel I have ever worked with. If I wanted to make another flannel quilt is the first line I would look at. Very good quality.

Joannes has a new line out for fall that I swore was wool but it is a hundred percent cotton also. It sounds similar to your description.

Thanks everyone. If I can get over to the Quilt store to check it out...and buy piles, I will report back. It really is a beautiful wool knockoff.

I saw this post and did a search for the fabric.
I found it online at Fabric Depot (Portland) and ordered some for a couple of fall blouses. OMG I'm in love! Can't wait to start on my pattern Butterick 5924.
I'm using the cream windowpane plaid and it's truly luscious.

Drat...sorrry I didn't see your post sooner. I'll go now to check out Fab Depot because the store I went to didn't have any like I'd hoped. Your pattern will be perfect for that fabric. I did get to see the windowpane print in person so I'm guessing you will be loving your shirt!!!
