My internet service provider had an outage and I was without internet access for almost 24 hours. I admit, I panicked. The longer I was without service, the more inconvenienced I felt. Once I got back online, I registered for a work-related training and checked PR. After that - nothing. I asked myself, "What was so urgent?" It's funny how addicted to the internet I've become, but not really. I thought I would go crazy for those 24 hours, but once I got back online, there was nothing for me to do!
I sew, therefore I am.

We were without electric.. which meant no net either for three days during an ice storm a few years back.. No net.. no TV.. and it was freezing..
The only thing I hated was being without my internet.. Mostly I couldn't get over the items I might be missing out on ebay.. And I just knew people were wondering where I was and what I was doing..
We bought a generator after that..

I had that same reaction last April when a tree fell on my phone line and I was without Internet and phone for three days. I sure missed the phone! I did rush off to contact people via a friend's Internet, to tell them I couldn't be in touch for a few days. And there was some work I had to download, so I did that from there, too. But when I got back online, I thought, "I'm not sure even what to look at on here. Meh..."
