Hi! I have a Brother PE770 that I confess I have only used for a few projects. The last few times I have used it to embroider a name with the machine fonts, I've done it on pieces that are already cut out and ready to sew. I have centered the piece in the hoop and the name appears to centered on the screen of the embroidery machine but when it stitches out, it starts stitching in the center and moves to the right so the design is off center. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any guidance!!!!

Before pushing the start button, use the trial option which will move the hoop so you will know the parameter of the "design". This should also provide an option to bump the center of the design to where you want it.

Check your manual for details.

Thanks for the tip! I will definitely have the machine run through the design before stitching and then will adjust it. I didn't realize that was an option - I haven't had a lot of time to play with the machine and I've found the really important information in the manual is just in a sentence here or there rather than a separate section.

Do you know why the letters are not centered and instead start at the center point? Whenever I've seen videos on using the Brother embroidery machine, it seems like it automatically centers. Thanks again for your help!
