I have the Brother CS machine to compare to the Janome. I am trying the binders out on it--I want to bind the neck of a knot top. I am using my generic "A" style binder with the raw edge to the back. I was using the foot that cam with the Brother Binder (TB foot) but I had some issues. I was just wondering if anyone has used the other clear foot for the other binder that come with the machine-the one for (I assume) pre-folded binding. Has anyone used this foot? I am trying to bind with ITY Its not much fun...

I don't have an answer to your question but I do have a question. Do you prefer the Brother coverstitch machine or the Janome Coverpro 1000 to do a overstitch? I have a Pfaff that does the coverstitch but think that I would like a separate machine for doing the coverstitch so I am undecided on which machine to buy.
So far I still prefer the Janome. But I like the feet etc that come with the Brother. I do not like how with the Brother you have to release the tensions manually. Plus when putting thick stuff under the needle, the needle hangs down so far that it snags the fabric. Not the presser foot but the needles!
I think Janome should step it up and make some feet similar to the Brother for binding etc. And more binders!
