Yesterday :

19:00 : realize it's a bit chilly. I'll soon not be able to lounge in shorts anymore. Have dumped all my age-old yoga pants during summer. Have urgent problem.
19:10 : Realize that New Look (the garment brand, not the pattern brand) doesn't sell their yoga pants in Tall anymore. They were the only one that did. No way I'm going to lounge in too-short pants, I may catch ankle flu.
19:15 : undig the yoga pant pattern I traced during summer
19:20 : undig black ponte from stash
20:00 : thread sewing machine.
20:30 : proudly wears new, uber-comfy, 35" inseam yoga pants.

Quicker than UPS !

(OK, now to go buy some Supplex ...)

I'm not that speedy, but those are very quick (4 side seams, 1 crotch seam, 1 waistband seam, hems and that's it) as I had the pattern already traced out.

You mean you already had the pattern traced out and the pieces cut out? Even if that's what you mean, your speed is still making my eyes glaze over. (Are you sure you're an advanced beginner? )

Oh my, I didn't want to sound like I was bragging ! I just appreciated the freedom to get exactly what I wanted, right here, right now, thanks to my SM :D

Honestly, the pattern is very quick to sew, no closure, no seam finishing (ponte), nothing fussy. It's Burda 2013-01-112

I am having the same problem. It was 100 degrees last week and now it is in the 60's and I really need some warm comfy pants. I was also thinking yoga pants, however my pattern is far from fitting the way I want. Good project for today.

How wonderful that you have a pattern that works, and the fabric, and got new yoga pants! LongElegantLegs.com has them at 36" inseam, but they're not cheap and shipping to Europe might not even be a possibility.

Wow, that's fast sewing! You're like those patterns by Nancy that says sewing time is 30 minutes. I always end up feeling like a sewing clutz!

I'm curious about those pants those. What do you do with all that waistband? Do you fold it down? Do you leave it up? What advantage does it have over yoga pants with a narrower waistband, if any.
