How to Thread

I have a Bernina 009 DCC that I have not used yet. I was playing with it this afternoon and reading the multi-language manual. It does not show a threading guide. I looked online and kept being directed to a "Mastering your Bernina 009DCC workbook" which also does not show you how to thread it but instead directs you back to the manual.

Does anyone one know where I can find a visual that shows you how to thread this machine? I could find no YouTube videos about it either.

Are you sure? I have that machine and and I know there is a page in the manual that shows how to thread - it is toward the back.

I have this machine and purchased it used so had no instruction book. This machine only has 1 chain looper and it threads from the back, over to the left. When you open the left door you'll see all the moving parts including a threading diagram.

What I find very confusing is the threading of the retractable, tall thread guide. It seems the coverstitch looper thread goes through two of the three slots for the thread (the ones at either end). The right cover stitch needle thread goes through the middle one - and then it says that the left coverstitch needle thread goes through the one on the far left. That's my problem! How can it go through the one on the far left when the coverstitch looper thread also goes through there - or is this indeed the case that BOTH of these go through the one slot?

The small images in the manual are dreadful and instructions are not easily understood.

Well, it took me about an hour but I finally got it threaded with the confusing instruction manual. It works wonderfully!

I just wanted to add that I too bought this cover stitch machine used and have found the same search results pointing to the downloadable workbook, which is NOT the manual. I haven't located the 009DC manual yet (still searching) but I was able to download the manual for the L220 from the Bernina website.

One of the things I find helpful about threading the looper on this is to do so standing up. I don't think it's necessarily so difficult, but the visibility of where you need to go is not as good and could be (to me when I first had it) somewhat confusing from a seated position. Once I stood up and was looking down it was much easier.
