It says on the Bernina site that my free-arm embroidery unit can be used to embroider a bag without undoing the seams. Can anybody tell me how or give a link to a you tube or video on how this can be done on this unit? I can't for the life of me figure out the "geometry" of how embroidering with a free-arm can help with hooping /embroidering my tote bag!

Thanks! It is driving me crazy!

It still looks like the bottom seam has to be open to do this.

Slip the open (top) of the bag over the free arm, and rotate the embroidery design.

I've got that attachment - it's great! Just did some sweatshirts using it.

I finally went to the dealer who also saw the Bernina Accessories book. The folks there all tried to figure it out. Result: the book is wrong. Yup, you can only do open ended stuff ie 'tubes". Good. I am not crazy!LOL
