Okay, it's probably been that way for a while. I'm not always the most observant person. But just today I noticed that Miss Fairchild's profile picture has her hand in a cast!



Hope it gets better quickly for you. And hope you are able to do some sewing.

Hello! Thanks for your concern, and enough to post a topic about....ahem...me.

Yes, that's my wrist you see; of my dominant hand. I broke it in July--read about it here I could come up with all kinds of stories, and if I were Poorpiglin, I'm sure you'd get a really creative laugh out of it. But as it was, I was doing the Jack and Jill thing--went up the hill, to (right a piece of yard art, instead of fetching a pail of water), and you know the rest of the story. And I was wearing a dress. Words can't express the visual image of all this, but I'm sure you can imagine my embarrassment when I looked like an oversized gopher trying to dig a hole....As in "mooning" the clouds and sky. Thankfully no one pulled up in the driveway..no UPS man, no friend of DH,--nobody.

But things are getting better. I'm sewing (rotary cutters and pattern weights are very useful tools, when you need them). And I've been canning, although not as much as in previous years.

Gl, do you stay up late? Oh, yes, you have a three hour time difference. I posted the new avatar last night, or should I say, early this morning... Felt it was about time to change.

Do you like my Wonder Woman cuff? I couldn't get a pink cast, nor a purple one, so I had the cuff specially made.

Thanks so much, AnneM and Glbutterfly, for thinking of me. Makes it hurt a little less.

I do like the cuff! It is very spiffy.

That is a pretty good story, even without PPL's touch. That must have been very frustrating for you! Although you are doing better than the character in the Frazz comic strip (a teacher broke her wrist the last day of school, got the cast off this week).

Since GL mentions them, it does make me wonder if pickles were somehow involved.
