I just purchased a Duetta 2 and sold my old Ellageo that used a floppy. I also have a Bernina 165 and a Janome MC 10001. I thought I would sell the latter. However I have no way to convert the sewing cards for the Janome into pes. Now I don't know if the best decision is to sell the Bernina or the Janome..anyone have an opinion? Thanks.

Why not sell them both? You have a new machine tech wise. For the Janome even though the tech is somewhat outdated and the blank flash cards are a little hard to find although still can be had. The sewing part of that machine is awesome. I know I have one. I don't know anything about the Bernina's except in that era with that machine was out it didn't play well with others meaning you couldn't use any third party software for it and couldn't convert .art designs. And that still might be the case. The problem especially with the Bernina is the software for it was designed for an earlier operating system and since the machine was discontinued the software wouldn't have been updated to work with current operating system. You can use Embird however with the Janome so that in and of it's self makes that a more usable machine in terms of embroidery. If you are thinking of keeping one as a back up machine I would keep the Janome.

Hi and thanks for the response. I do not have the embroidery module for the Bernina 165. I purchased it from a dealer as just a sewing machine. It was a trade in and they had to replace the mother board on it. It is a work horse. I was thinking of selling the Bernina because I believe the Janome is a newer model and can also do embroidery, but my hubby thinks I should keep that one. I just bought the Brother Duetta 2 but yes wanted a back up for sewing primarily.
What to do what to do...thanks.
