I am thinking getting back into of making some clothes after the birth of my son (5 months) and am struggling to find vintage style clothes that are easy to wear and breastfeeding friendly.
if you have made Butterick 5740 do you think it woul be ok for at home playing and breastfeeding.
Other suggestions for easy to sew breastfeeding friendly patterns appreciated. weight loss friendly is also good

Have you considered Elizabeth Lee Designs patterns? They sell nursing clothing patterns for moms that include openings for breast feeding.
This web page shows the types of openings each pattern uses. There are 9 variations here, which may be enough to provide inspiration on how to modify other patterns you already have.
There are quite a few PR reviews of Elizabeth Lee patterns.
