I've lately started using Burda's envelope patterns and their method of attaching a collar I'm not so sure I like. Instead of slip stitching the facing down on the inside, they have you slip stitch the actual collar down on the outside. Any tips on making it look professional? For 40 years I've done it the other way.

If you have a TNT method and it works, why are you trying to reinvent the wheel? Pattern construction sheets are just suggestions. Do what you know works.
