I may be competing in ballroom dance again next year and I'd like to replicate this Latin skirt for myself. Does anyone know of a good knock-off pattern?

Hi! That is very fun! It's similar to a skirt I'm doing with godets inside of godets.

Can you tell me what your waist and hip measurements are?
What length in front and back?
...thinking you might want back longer and fuller than the front?
What fabric(s) are you looking to use? Prints, solids, lace?
Do you want it to slightly cup under your tush before it starts the flare out like it does in some of your reference pics?

If you zoom in real close on this dress, you can see what I'm talking about with my current project of godets inside of godets, I love it!
Pinned! Godets inside of godets!

Ooh, that dress is lovely! MY measurements are 35" at the waist and 46" at the hips. I'm not sure about length specifics, but I'd like for it to be longer in the back or with an asymmetrical side.

Cool skirt. I can't help, but it is a great skirt.

So is that gorgeous blue godets inside godets skirt. I love godets; I should make some skirts with them. I haven't in a long time.

With a great wardrobe that's still in the flat-fabric stage.

I wonder if it is a double circle skirt with an offset waist circle, so that it is longer in the back than the front? two circles, cut open and sewn together? It makes a drapey, and very twirly and wide circle. Could this be it?pics See variations 1 and 4

You could try the Cascade skirt by Megan Nielsen for a start off. It is a fairly full wrap skirt, with options for a button or tie waist, and instructions for underlining sheer/lacy fabrics.

Check these photos out--if you are up for it, you could probably sort it out for yourself.

Lol, it's funny that you should mention that because I totally decided last night to go with the Cascade skirt pattern. I'm going to layer up some georgette with it, which I think will make a very nice effect for dancing.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions!
