I went to see the new Ovation on my lunch hour today. Price with 22 feet, Gold Standard warranty, Inspiration Guide and travel trolley was $5999. Way too much money. Then the sales person said I could get $1000 trade in for my current serger no matter age, brand, or where it was purchased. I have a Viking 936 and they are selling for about $500 on eBay. Still a lot of money but I did it! Can't wait to take my old serger in and bring home the Ovation. I won't ever need another serger. I didn't know a serger could have that many feet plus I will get lifetime lessons to learn how to use them.

You're going to love your new Ovation so much! What I really love about the Ovation is that it feels so "un-claustrophobic"... it just seems so roomy and relaxing. Did you get the new curve foot in your set of feet? I hear the curve foot is wonderful for doing small curves like armholes on kids clothes.

Congratulations! I'm so jealous. Please do a review of your machine at some point, I'd love to hear about it.

The Viking Huskylock 936 is a great serger. I think you're going to miss it's versatility, but enjoy your new Ovation.

I, too, used to own the 936. I didn't miss it one iota when I switched brands to the BL Imagine. I added the Evolution and thought that would end my serger quest for life. But this Ovation has me re-considering. I hope my dealer gives a better trade-in than that on the Evolution or it's a no go for me right now.

Congratulations on your new machine. The Ovation looks fabulous.
I keep thinking I need to add a BabyLock to my sergers.
After hearing that the BabyLock went over seam intersections smoothly and without loosing tension. I tried them out. I kept adding layer after layer. Great performance!

If I remember correctly, my dealer is giving $2000 for Evolution.
