Hi there, I am on my annual apple binge. I like crisps ones: Yorks and Honeycrisps especially!

I'm semi-retired as of the first of the year so I spent spring semester finishing up a couple of long-postponed degrees...then re-organized the household for moving...then re-organized the new household (and sometimes had to re-do what I had done...) Now thinking about teaching geography and today is the beginning of my computer science course through Udacity...I did a little sewing on UFO's last month! Fall will bring a LOT of yard work and preparation for putting in a big garden next spring!

October brings Oktoberfest! I'll be wearing my dirndl, and DH will wear his lederhosen! I did not make either but I still hope to sew myself a dirndl while I'm here.

I'm going to Dublin for a long weekend.

I'm flying home to California for two weeks. I haven't been back in almost a year. Besides catching up on doctor and dentist visits, and visiting with some friends, I'll be going through the fabric, patterns, and notions I didn't bring with me and will pack or mail what I want.

I'm getting a mammogram...and if you're over 40 you should too.

Thanks!

Yes. I even got up early (I am usually showering 10 minutes before I need to leave) and baked peanut butter cookies (his favorite) today!

Happy anniversary to you and MrCharisma!

I am on call with the sheriff's office through 6:00 a.m. on Friday (belong to the victim response team) then I'm heading to the ranch to grab my favorite boy and bring him home with me while his folks go elk hunting. Got to get him while I can; when the weather gets bad that five hour drive can be pretty awful.

This is perhaps my favorite month in Wyoming: color! Indian summer! Snow that will melt quickly (knock on wood) and a lovely crispness to the air.

I've never had a honeycrisp apple. Wonder if I can find them here?

I've quit fighting my inner demons. We're on the same side now.

It's just fabric; we can out-think it.

Love fall too. It gets me in the mood to sew. I miss it all summer when there is too much outdoor work to do. So, I will be sewing 3 tops in the next two weeks (hopefully) Then, I will finish some Christmas projects I started last feb/march. I seam to be running the girls all over to their school functions now that school is going. And run errands for DH because he is never around when the stores are open. But, mostly sewing!
