I'm slowly working on my quilt and am sure I'll be the last one done. Since I just got the embroidery machine, it occurs to me that I can embroider eyes on this little guy, and thought I'd ask for advice. I picked out 3 photos. One has eyelashes that are kind of girly (but cute), some that look like turtle eyes (to me) and then some that are asleep. Do any of these look like they'd work on this pattern? What do you guys think? Have you done this before? I'm not even sure it'll work.

Are these pictures of embroidery designs?

I think the eyelash one is the cutest.

I prefer photo 1, with the eyes closed. The last one makes me feel like I am being stared at. What will the rest of the pattern look like?

Often when making an animal, put the eyes on last. Why? Because it starts to look at YOU and will drive you nuts!

I thought about the staring thing, but I can always tape bandaids over them! Since I'm machine embroidering, I'll need to do the eyes at least before I sew the head on. I'm making this one:

Well I am no help because I love them all!

Do you want it girly? I think the last one is the least girly.

It's for my nephew, so less girly is probably better.

Yes the last one is the least girly. Good idea. I loved this quilt when the thread about it started but I am thinking that ignorance was bliss, it seems a bit more daunting now - still so cute though

There turned out to be a lot more eyes in the set I bought! And here I thought it was going to be easy.
