Hi. I have been toying with the idea of using some shiny, gold pleather I already have in some christmas wall hangings. I don't know if the pleather is washable or its heaviness will upset the balance of the piecing. Otherwise I could go get some Lame or shimmery gold fabric. Let me know. Thanks, Bert

Since it's plastic, I think it's O.K. to get it wet or damp, but if it goes into a hot clothes dryer, it's not going to fare very good there and might melt or ripple up. I've found plastic like fake leather fabric (even if just trim on something, like jeans or such) never fares good in the clothes dryer. It might go through there once, or twice sometimes, but eventually it all seems to peel and blister up. If you quilted something with it on both sides and batting in the middle, the batting might stay wet and not be able to dry out for a long time. If it was just a quilted wall hanging for me though, and I was mixing up a lot of different fabrics into it, if it looked right for what I wanted to do, I would probably stick it in there anyways, just since I don't think I would be washing a wall hanging very often and could be kind of careful and do that by hand instead.

remember that also if the item gets ironed at all you have to be very careful one mistake with the iron and you've got a hot mess pun intended lol.
