Just wondering...have you ever used the walking foot with a twin needle?

Yes, as long as the sole is wide enough to accommodate twin needles. Turn the handwheel first to ensure the sole you're using with the WF is wide enough before starting to sew.

With IDT, same thing; just ensure you're using an IDT foot with opening wide enough for a twin needle.

The key is for the opening in the foot and the needle plate to be wide enough to accommodate the width of the double/twin needle.

Straight stitching and possibly a narrow zz if the needle can pass through the openings without striking the foot or plate.

Pfaff, Integrated Dual Transport...built-in walking foot that sits, separate from the presser foot, behind the needle. Can be used with a mulitude of different feet.

Viking has a newer model walking foot that can be used with a zigzag, it's called the interchangeable dual feed feed foot, can zigzag up to 7mm wide, that should work with a twin needle.
