Anyone Had Problems with Mood NYC Lately?

I ordered 4 types of wool crepe from them last month. One color was 1.5 yard and the rest were supposed to be 2 yards. I received the fabrics and immediately started to work with the 1.5 yardage. Last night I was to start work with one of the 2 yard pieces when I discovered that they were all incorrect sizes!
They were:
62" poppy
58" blue
58" purple

Should these not be 72"? How could a store like Mood make such a mistake? I emailed them yesterday and have not heard back, but I think maybe I should file a chargeback with my creditcard for my lost 1.5 yards. Such a shame, the fabric is so lovely, but with service like this......

This might be a dumb question, but ... are you sure you were measuring the right dimension? Those sound exactly like fabric widths. So maybe you had the fabric sideway?

No, I thought that too. So I measured the widths as well and they were all 60".

Call them and let them know...better yet..take a photo with your tape measure and send it to them.

Oh well. Yes, definitely contact them. Sounds like someone was having a bad day, & was thinking 1.5 yrds for everything.

I bought some fabric recently that was supposed to be Marc Jacobs dark blue stretch denim. What came is black twill. I know dark denim can be really dark, but there's no way this will ever be blue! And there's nothing denimy about it. But I didn't order a swatch first, so I'll just muslin with it (StyleArc Cassie, here I come).

This is my second unsuccessful denim order from Mood. For the first, I ordered a different Marc Jacobs denim that others have recommended. And I swatched first. What I got has NO recovery, and continues to grow (and bleed) throughout the day. I washed and dried several times before sewing and have also tried to shrink the bejesus out of the finished jeans.

Now I'm a little gun-shy. HOW do you find stretch denim with good recovery?

Did you check your order to be sure you entered correctly? Check your packing slip and see what they charged you for--although if they were short of yardage they should have let you know (I would think).

I would certainly complain if it doesn't match your swatch. Some of the fabric says it's returnable, but this sounds like their error and should be returned on their dime.
